In the 3rd minute, Cristi Chivu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Anatolio Rosario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zoilo Coira made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Froilan Reyes sent off a good shot on target. Anatolio Rosario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Gumersindo Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute Tales Lucas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gumersindo Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in ReyPoxo's zone, Froilan Reyes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zoilo Coira came out of the goal and Froilan Reyes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Boomer Fc's Gumersindo Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tales Lucas in the 18th minute of play. After 19 minutes Boomer Fc's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Leif Larsen who took care of the corner kick. If Froilan Reyes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zoilo Coira made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Froilan Reyes sent off a good shot on target. In the 30th minute, Froilan Reyes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gumersindo Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tales Lucas in the 31st minute of the match. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by ReyPoxo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bebeto Gaúcho was slow to take the kick. During this time Boomer Fc's players had a chance to rest. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Tales Lucas made the kick off in the second half. Godofredo Vidal hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Zoilo Coira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Froilan Reyes in the 56th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Boomer Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Tales Lucas came free, but Gumersindo Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Boomer Fc's Gumersindo Moreira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Boomer Fc from getting a goal against them. ReyPoxo's Zoilo Coira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bebeto Gaúcho in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Froilan Reyes in the 77th minute of play forced ReyPoxo's goalkeeper Zoilo Coira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 80 minutes of play, ReyPoxo's Tales Lucas made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gumersindo Moreira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Zoilo Coira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Boniel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 93 minutes into the match, Boomer Fc's goalkeeper Gumersindo Moreira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Samuel Etoo. 95 minutes into the game, Boomer Fc's Richard Parker nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zoilo Coira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Boomer Fc's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
