With a couple of smart ball manuevers Artur Reis in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jaizki Valverde saved Aysouraguán from getting behind. Aysouraguán's attentive Jesús Casado managed to snatch the ball when Senen Zafrilla made a throw-in in the 24th minute of the game. Artur Reis struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Jaizki Valverde didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cebollas. The corner ended in Lluis Idiaquez almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Aysouraguán's Jaizki Valverde did a great save. When Cristo Gabas fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aysouraguán's protests and gave Cristo Gabas a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Aysouraguán getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Cristo Gabas hit a great ball. With a little luck, Aysouraguán's Jaizki Valverde got control of the ball when Artur Reis tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 38th minute Artur Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaizki Valverde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cebollas fans cheered their team off the field, for while Aysouraguán had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
