The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute of the match Abeluse Flow got a corner. Girona FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Arlo Fresnos ran over to the corner to take the kick. Abeluse Flow's Godfredo Baladi was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Cristiano Aveiro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Nacho Molina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berkay Yetiş, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the match, Girona FC's goalkeeper Cristiano Aveiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arsenio Bide. In the 16th minute, Tolino Griful hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 19 minutes into the match, Girona FC's Carlos Augusto Tróia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nacho Molina narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Arsenio Bide was extremely unlucky when he, in the 20th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The supporters of Abeluse Flow booed when Girona FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zumar Figueroa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristiano Aveiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arsenio Bide, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the game, Girona FC's Carlos Augusto Tróia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nacho Molina made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 43rd minute, Joaquim Lustosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Girona FC's Cristiano Aveiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Girona FC from getting a goal against them.

Girona FC made a substitution. Roman Gdaniec replaced Carlos Augusto Tróia. Girona FC were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Abeluse Flow's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ovidio Maldonado took the corner. In the 56th minute Girona FC were awarded a corner. Ovidio Maldonado went to the cornerflag to take it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roman Gdaniec in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nacho Molina saved Abeluse Flow from getting behind. After some careless play in the Girona FC defense, Arsenio Bide kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristiano Aveiro. The Girona FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristiano Aveiro should have stopped the shot. Girona FC made a substitution. Alfonso De Pedro replaced Berkay Yetiş. Abeluse Flow made a substitution. Justo Zubicueta replaced Jan-Erik Vestberg. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julio Barroso in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristiano Aveiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristiano Aveiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julio Barroso's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. If Julio Barroso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cristiano Aveiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julio Barroso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristiano Aveiro came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Abeluse Flow's Julio Barroso. But to his dismay, Julio Barroso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Gdaniec in the 78th minute of play forced Abeluse Flow's goalkeeper Nacho Molina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Abeluse Flow's Julio Barroso in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Girona FC's goalie prevented a goal. Alfonso De Pedro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nacho Molina read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Abeluse Flow's Julio Barroso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristiano Aveiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Julio Barroso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Abeluse Flow's supporters rose to their feet, but Julio Barroso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristiano Aveiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Girona FC's Kepa Molina was substituted for Joaquim Lustosa. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julio Barroso in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristiano Aveiro saved Girona FC from getting behind. In the 95th minute, Julio Barroso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristiano Aveiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. When the referee ended the match the Abeluse Flow players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
