Spectators: 159 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Laffitte Sanes made the kick off which started today's match. Cristiano Aveiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Normando Palencia in the 10th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as AC Guadalajara's Jaakoppi Fahlgren slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cristiano Aveiro. That made the score 2-2 after 15 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Normando Palencia got free with Cristiano Aveiro in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lastur Murcia came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Girona FC's Everardo Atauri. But to his dismay, Everardo Atauri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Lastur Murcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Everardo Atauri in the 27th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Loren Roca got free with Cristiano Aveiro in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in AC Guadalajara's zone, Everardo Atauri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lastur Murcia came out of the goal and Everardo Atauri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Girona FC's Gaizkine Babia quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Kaiet Checa, made in the 40th minute of the game. The throw-in from Kaiet Checa in the 44th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Girona FC's Gaizkine Babia. 46 minutes into the game, Girona FC's Everardo Atauri nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lastur Murcia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. After the first half Girona FC were leading 2-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Berkay Yetiş sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Girona FC's Roman Gdaniec in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AC Guadalajara's goalie prevented a goal. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by AC Guadalajara's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Iván Salgado was slow to take the kick. During this time Girona FC's players had a chance to rest. 68 minutes into the game, Girona FC's Roman Gdaniec nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lastur Murcia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-6. The crowd rose to their feet as Girona FC's Roman Gdaniec slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lastur Murcia. That made the score 2-7 after 71 minutes of play. Girona FC made a substitution. Zumar Figueroa replaced José Gonçalves. In the 77th minute Laffitte Sanes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Aveiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roman Gdaniec might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lastur Murcia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roman Gdaniec ran back to his position shaking his head. 80 minutes into the match, AC Guadalajara's goal looked a bit too open when Roman Gdaniec came free, but Lastur Murcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Girona FC's Cristiano Aveiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laffitte Sanes in the 84th minute of play. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by Girona FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Normando Palencia was slow to take the kick. During this time AC Guadalajara's players had a chance to rest. Roman Gdaniec received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lastur Murcia came out and tried to block the shot, but Roman Gdaniec slotted it home off the left post making it 2-8 in the 88th minute. When the final whistle went the supporters of Girona FC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant AC Guadalajara side.
