The PERSPOLIS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gianluigi Donnarumma should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Cipriano Ganix took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Olo Kahn to make any attempt to save it. Gianluigi Donnarumma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Berriotxoa in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Cipriano Ganix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bela Herrero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the game, C.D. Ciudad de Soria's Arrosko Rojas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gianluigi Donnarumma made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 38th minute Teodoro Zamora shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gianluigi Donnarumma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olo Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bela Herrero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gianluigi Donnarumma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Berriotxoa in the 43rd minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Cesario Bajo hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. 54 minutes into the match, Cipriano Ganix had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Olo Kahn. C.D. Ciudad de Soria's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cipriano Ganix was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. In the 63rd minute of the match, Arrosko Rojas got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gianluigi Donnarumma was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Cipriano Ganix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. C.D. Ciudad de Soria's Gabriel Redondo was substituted for Arrosko Rojas. After a rather tough play, PERSPOLIS's Enrico Duarte got a free kick in the 77th minute. Ciudad de Soria got a freekick which was hit by Eron Patiño. C.D. Ciudad de Soria's Olo Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cipriano Ganix in the 92nd minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
