The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Everardo Arias was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute of the match Real Club Celta de Vigo got a corner. PERSPOLIS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Guillermo Marin ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of PERSPOLIS's goalie and right to Calisto Camacho. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. PERSPOLIS's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. PERSPOLIS's Pedro León was substituted for Cipriano Ganix. In the 87th minute, Renato Tapia made a precise shot to the right of Gianluigi Donnarumma. PERSPOLIS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. In the 90th minute of the match, Arash Lara got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pepe Toxeiro was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Real Club Celta de Vigo had won after a very even match.
