Everardo Arias started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the game, Real Club Celta de Vigo's Everardo Arias nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andrés Torres made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Andrés Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Everardo Arias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Everardo Arias in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andrés Torres prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 14th minute Everardo Arias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrés Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 15 played minutes FC CHIVA got a freekick which was hit by Boniel Titos. An unexpectedly hard shot by Everardo Arias in the 16th minute of play forced FC CHIVA's goalkeeper Andrés Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the game, Eneko Sobrado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC CHIVA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Club Celta de Vigo the free kick. Eneko Sobrado kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Ascencio Cifuentes's late challenge caught a Real Club Celta de Vigo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ascencio Cifuentes helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to FC CHIVA getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Ascencio Cifuentes hit a great ball. Real Club Celta de Vigo's Everardo Arias got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 25 played minutes FC CHIVA got a freekick which was hit by Boniel Titos. 30 minutes into the match, Real Club Celta de Vigo's goal looked a bit too open when Cresenciano Moya came free, but Pepe Toxeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andrés Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Everardo Arias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of FC CHIVA booed when Real Club Celta de Vigo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rubén Blanco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, Xurxo Canal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Celso Rivas made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Everardo Arias got free with Andrés Torres in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Andrés Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Everardo Arias in the 56th minute of play. Andrés Torres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Everardo Arias in the 58th minute of the match. Calisto Camacho kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. When Everardo Arias came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Real Club Celta de Vigo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Everardo Arias couldn't finish the play. In the 65th minute, Nestor Araujo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Real Club Celta de Vigo made a substitution. Renato Tapia replaced Nestor Araujo. Andrés Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renato Tapia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Renato Tapia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Andrés Torres made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Guillermo Marin sent off a good shot on target. Mateo Lopez hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. When the final whistle sounded Real Club Celta de Vigo left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC CHIVA.
