Plaza Babys CF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. La Mora CAT's Coronel Canyelles suffered a sore knee after 8 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Pietro Echavarri's late challenge caught a La Mora CAT's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pietro Echavarri helped the player get up and apologised. The long shot by Severino Coutinho in the 10th minute really tested Abelardo Macías's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Etor Benito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Abelardo Macías made a huge save. 18 minutes into the game, Etor Benito cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Abelardo Macías was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Coronel Andres sped through Plaza Babys CF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Abelardo Macías. In the 29th minute, Aļģis Engers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Şenol Güneş showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yasin Saleh in the 35th minute of the match. La Mora CAT's Şenol Güneş played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aļģis Engers in the 41st minute of play. Seve Grau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yasin Saleh kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. With a little luck, Plaza Babys CF's Abelardo Macías got control of the ball when Coronel Andres tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Víctor Hernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Abelardo Macías took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Coronel Andres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute La Mora CAT were awarded a corner. La Mora CAT's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wayne Rooney was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
