The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as Velez-Malaga's Kerim Tokgöz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Saturnino Nieto. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. When Ramón Huguet came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the ALPUJARRAS LIBRE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramón Huguet couldn't finish the play. 15 minutes into the match, ALPUJARRAS LIBRE's goal looked a bit too open when Crescencio Guijarro came free, but Saturnino Nieto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute, Nevada Etxeberria made a precise shot to the right of Angelino Lawrence. Velez-Malaga's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Angelino Lawrence took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nevada Etxeberria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelino Lawrence showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucio Toxeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Nevada Etxeberria took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Angelino Lawrence. Angelino Lawrence dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Angelino Lawrence made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Toxeiro in the 31st minute of play. Angelino Lawrence didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucio Toxeiro went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. The supporters of Velez-Malaga booed when ALPUJARRAS LIBRE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucio Toxeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the match, ALPUJARRAS LIBRE's goalkeeper Saturnino Nieto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Crescencio Guijarro. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nevada Etxeberria to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes ALPUJARRAS LIBRE got a freekick which was hit by Lauren Verges. ALPUJARRAS LIBRE's Saturnino Nieto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xano Castellano in the 58th minute of play. Saturnino Nieto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Crescencio Guijarro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 62 played minutes ALPUJARRAS LIBRE got a freekick which was hit by Lauren Verges. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lauren Verges in the 64th minute of play forced Velez-Malaga's goalkeeper Angelino Lawrence to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Ramón Huguet could shoot a difficult shot in the 67th minute, which Angelino Lawrence however easily saved by the left post. 68 minutes into the match, ALPUJARRAS LIBRE's goal looked a bit too open when Kerim Tokgöz came free, but Saturnino Nieto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saturnino Nieto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Matxin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Saturnino Nieto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Crescencio Guijarro in the 75th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucio Toxeiro in the 80th minute of play forced Velez-Malaga's goalkeeper Angelino Lawrence to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angelino Lawrence made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Nevada Etxeberria sent off a good shot on target. Lauren Verges hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. ALPUJARRAS LIBRE's Tello Lopez was substituted for Lauren Verges. ALPUJARRAS LIBRE's Gaston Cayuela was substituted for Nevada Etxeberria. ALPUJARRAS LIBRE made a substitution. Cefero Casero replaced Ramón Huguet. After 88 played minutes ALPUJARRAS LIBRE got a freekick which was hit by Lauren Verges. With an all-out effort, ALPUJARRAS LIBRE's Angelino Lawrence threw himself towards the right post 92 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lucio Toxeiro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 94th minute, Tello Lopez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Angelino Lawrence was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched ALPUJARRAS LIBRE eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
