Coronel Andres started the match with the kick off. Velez-Malaga's Angelino Lawrence played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Coronel Andres in the 3rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zachariasz Haskiewicz during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Velez-Malaga getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Zachariasz Haskiewicz hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Crescencio Guijarro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Şenol Güneş was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. After 7 minutes, Crescencio Guijarro made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. La Mora CAT's Şenol Güneş tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Angelino Lawrence took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Coutinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelino Lawrence showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Coutinho in the 10th minute of the match. A collision led to Velez-Malaga getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Apat Cazorla hit a great ball. In the 15th minute, Garoa Ojesto sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Velez-Malaga's Angelino Lawrence didn't even have to move. Angelino Lawrence made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Coronel Andres in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute Coronel Andres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelino Lawrence saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Coronel Andres in the 18th minute of play forced Velez-Malaga's goalkeeper Angelino Lawrence to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Coronel Andres during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Velez-Malaga booed when La Mora CAT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Coronel Andres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Şenol Güneş made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Crescencio Guijarro in the 28th minute of play. In the 28th minute of the match, Crescencio Guijarro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Şenol Güneş saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Velez-Malaga's Angelino Lawrence played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Coronel Andres in the 29th minute of play. La Mora CAT's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Garoa Ojesto in the 31st minute. Angelino Lawrence stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Coronel Andres's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Angelino Lawrence didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Coronel Andres went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Angelino Lawrence showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Coronel Andres, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. With a little luck, La Mora CAT's Şenol Güneş got control of the ball when Crescencio Guijarro tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Coronel Andres made a precise shot to the right of Angelino Lawrence. Velez-Malaga's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Crescencio Guijarro made a kick off. Velez-Malaga's Angelino Lawrence played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severino Coutinho in the 51st minute of play. Angelino Lawrence took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Coutinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute, La Mora CAT's Severino Coutinho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Coronel Andress short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Angelino Lawrence to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Coronel Andres managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Mora CAT's supporters rose to their feet, but Coronel Andres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angelino Lawrence breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Angelino Lawrence was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Severino Coutinho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 63 minute of play. La Mora CAT's Wayne Rooney was substituted for Coronel Andres. Angelino Lawrence took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Coutinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelino Lawrence came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by La Mora CAT's Severino Coutinho. But to his dismay, Severino Coutinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Seve Grau received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Angelino Lawrence came out and tried to block the shot, but Seve Grau slotted it home off the left post making it 1-6 in the 81st minute. Velez-Malaga's Angelino Lawrence played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wayne Rooney in the 84th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Wayne Rooney had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Angelino Lawrence. Velez-Malaga's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wayne Rooney was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-7. Angelino Lawrence made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Wayne Rooney sent off a good shot on target. The La Mora CAT players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
