Thiago Gol might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Steen Müür. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thiago Gol ran back to his position shaking his head. Steen Müür made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thiago Gol in the 7th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Thiago Gol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th minute De hijgende Hertjes were awarded a corner. Leendert Zuurman went to the cornerflag to take it. Philip de Groot was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Matthijs Ebbinge recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 22 played minutes, SCs StarS's Florian Hekman shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Steen Müür came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. De hijgende Hertjes's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Thiago Gol 40 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. After some careless play in the De hijgende Hertjes defense, Jordy Dirks kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Steen Müür. The De hijgende Hertjes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Steen Müür should have stopped the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Thiago Gol to make the kick off. After 53 minutes De hijgende Hertjes's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Florian Hekman who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Florian Hekman almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but De hijgende Hertjes's Steen Müür did a great save. The SCs StarS fans' excitement grew in the 54th match minute when SCs StarS's Wlodzimierz Kochanowski looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 60th minute Jordy Dirks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steen Müür saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thiago Gol took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Steen Müür. Steen Müür dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. After 66 minutes, Thiago Gol made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. De hijgende Hertjes's Steen Müür tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Matthijs Ebbinge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Steen Müür tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute Thiago Gol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steen Müür saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SCs StarS walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
