Ciccio Tacconi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Koos Alberts in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute Koos Alberts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciccio Tacconi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, NFC Eagles 22's goal looked a bit too open when Koos Alberts came free, but Ciccio Tacconi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciccio Tacconi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferry Hebels, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sjaak Degens was the one to do the kick off. Roger Dorenbosch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tudor Mihoc having to interfere. 54 minutes into the game, Toni Schirring was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Buitenhout FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave NFC Eagles 22 the free kick. A collision led to Buitenhout FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Toni Schirring hit a great ball. In the 59th match minute, NFC Eagles 22 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raymond Schouten to maneuver through the defense. The corner led NFC Eagles 22's Ron Moermans to fire away a dangerous shot which Tudor Mihoc despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Martijn Klasens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tudor Mihoc having to interfere. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind NFC Eagles 22's goalkeeper Ciccio Tacconi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 81 minutes into the match, NFC Eagles 22's Ron Moermans sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tudor Mihoc narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Buitenhout FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Toni Schirring hit a great ball. NFC Eagles 22's Ted Jansen got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ron Moermans's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tudor Mihoc read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. If Raymond Schouten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Buitenhout FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching NFC Eagles 22's performance. The match ended with a win for NFC Eagles 22.
