Erwin Teesing showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnold van Herwijnen, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Andreas Tamminga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hugo Bender got free with Kenneth van der Leegte in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wouter Kluivert during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andreas Tamminga in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kenneth van der Leegte saved SV Wissenkerke from getting behind. Hugo Bender fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenneth van der Leegte having to interfere. 32 minutes into the game, ASC South United's Andreas Tamminga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kenneth van der Leegte made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 34th match minute, ASC South United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Hendrik Gronden to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, ASC South United's Mirko Stuijvenberg got a free kick in the 37th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnold van Herwijnen was the one to do the kick off. Kenneth van der Leegte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Bender, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Taco Scholte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Kenneth van der Leegte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kenneth van der Leegte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andreas Tamminga in the 60th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Marco Hofland fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Erwin Teesing, passed just outside the right post. 68 minutes into the match, Andreas Tamminga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kenneth van der Leegte. SV Wissenkerke's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andreas Tamminga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 71 minutes into the match, ASC South United's goal looked a bit too open when Arnold van Herwijnen came free, but Erwin Teesing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hugo Bender recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kenneth van der Leegte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Taco Scholte in the 80th minute of play. Leendert Looze took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Erwin Teesing. ASC South United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Marco Hofland hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Kenneth van der Leegte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Bender in the 91st minute of the match. Rolf van der Saar hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match.
