In the 3rd minute, Martijn Jol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 4 played minutes Seagulls got a freekick which was hit by Dariusz Rekawiczka. After having played for 5 minutes, Alfred Dobrowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dorpshaven's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfred Dobrowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 6th minute, Damien Roetering had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. A collision led to Seagulls getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Casper Sturkenboom hit a great ball. 9 minutes into the match, Seagulls's goal looked a bit too open when Gertjan Hardering came free, but Aurelio Rexino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martijn Jol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Rexino having to interfere. After 17 played minutes Seagulls got a freekick which was hit by Severin Kotrulev. Aurelio Rexino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfred Dobrowski in the 17th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Seagulls's Ben Rensenbrink got a free kick in the 19th minute. Dorpshaven were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Seagulls's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Arno van Galen took the corner. The corner ended in Dariusz Rekawiczka almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Dorpshaven's Ramon Simons did a great save. 26 minutes into the game, Alfred Dobrowski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Aurelio Rexino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 30th minute Gertjan Hardering shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Rexino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aurelio Rexino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Dobrowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute, Franck Akkerman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aurelio Rexino was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Martijn Jol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Rexino having to interfere.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfred Dobrowski to strike the kick off in the second half. Aurelio Rexino was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alfred Dobrowski showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 52 minute of play. When Alfred Dobrowski came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Dorpshaven fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfred Dobrowski couldn't finish the play. Dariusz Rekawiczka recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 63 minutes into the match, Dorpshaven's goal looked a bit too open when Roderick van Boxel came free, but Ramon Simons reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 64 played minutes Seagulls got a freekick which was hit by Marco Mook. In the 65th minute Alfred Dobrowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Rexino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Seagulls's Aurelio Rexino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Seagulls from getting a goal against them. After having played for 80 minutes, Arno van Galen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gertjan Hardering couldn't finish the play. Aurelio Rexino made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Gertjan Hardering sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Martijn Jol managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dorpshaven's supporters rose to their feet, but Martijn Jol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aurelio Rexino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 93rd minute of the match, Martijn Jol tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Aurelio Rexino saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Best Štriker hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The Seagulls fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Dorpshaven were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
