Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Steven Homan in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jari Litmanen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Springplank FC's Jari Litmanen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix van As in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Felix van As dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jari Litmanen, 2-0. After a rather tough play, Springplank FC's Harm Korsma got a free kick in the 16th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Springplank FC's zone, Steven Homan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jari Litmanen came out of the goal and Steven Homan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Harm Korsma during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of SV Balverliefd booed when Springplank FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harm Korsma didn't get a good kick on the ball. Steven Homans short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Jari Litmanen to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 43 minutes into the game, Felix van As cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Jari Litmanen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Springplank FC's Jari Litmanen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Springplank FC from getting a goal against them. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

53 minutes into the game, SV Balverliefd's Steven Homan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jari Litmanen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. After some careless play in the Springplank FC defense, Steven Homan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jari Litmanen. The Springplank FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jari Litmanen should have stopped the shot. After 66 minutes of play, SV Balverliefd's Steven Homan made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jari Litmanen was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 70 minutes of play, SV Balverliefd's Felix van As made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. SV Balverliefd's supporters rose to their feet, but Steven Homan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jari Litmanen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jari Litmanen came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by SV Balverliefd's Steven Homan. But to his dismay, Steven Homan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 10-0. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Steven Homan put it in 11-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jari Litmanen. Philippe-Arnaud Van Cleijnenbreugel struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Jari Litmanen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SV Balverliefd. SV Balverliefd walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
