In the 3rd minute Waclaw Poremba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christiaan Jonker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the game, Pantelis Stergakos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Boca Juniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MK Investments the free kick. After a rather tough play, Boca Juniors's Pantelis Stergakos got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 12thth minute of the game Waclaw Poremba who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Boca Juniors's Christiaan Jonker was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Boca Juniors defense, Waclaw Poremba kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christiaan Jonker. The Boca Juniors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christiaan Jonker should have stopped the shot. The MK Investments fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when MK Investments's Waclaw Poremba looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Christiaan Jonker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waclaw Poremba in the 32nd minute of the match. After 32 minutes, Gido Onrust mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Boca Juniors and the MK Investments players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Boca Juniors's Gido Onrust got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Pascal Bults took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christiaan Jonker. Christiaan Jonker dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when MK Investments was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Oosterveld didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christiaan Jonker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pascal Bults, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Boca Juniors's zone, Pascal Bults stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christiaan Jonker came out of the goal and Pascal Bults tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half MK Investments were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Henk-Jan Weinands made a kick off. Jimmie Cai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christiaan Jonker made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Domenik Hoffhuis sent off a good shot on target. Pascal Bults's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christiaan Jonker read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Jos van Rijswijk kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. With his leg Christiaan Jonker managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when MK Investments's Waclaw Poremba fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Domenik Hoffhuis in the 71stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Christiaan Jonker, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When MK Investments's Waclaw Poremba in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Boca Juniors's goalie prevented a goal. Peter Oldenborger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juliane Rúsin in the 76th minute of play. If Domenik Hoffhuis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 79 minutes, Waclaw Poremba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MK Investments's supporters crossed their fingers, but Waclaw Poremba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 83rd match minute, MK Investments was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Oosterveld to maneuver through the defense. Domenik Hoffhuis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Christiaan Jonker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Waclaw Poremba dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Christiaan Jonker, 1-6. MK Investments's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
