Mathijs Tevreden came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by AVV Zeeburgia's Servet Akburç. But to his dismay, Servet Akburç quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Servet Akburç got free with Mathijs Tevreden in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mathijs Tevreden stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Servet Akburç's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Natalio Rayman got a throw-in 23 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Dries Bogaard. 25 minutes into the game, Natalio Rayman threw the ball into play from the sideline. S.C. Potentia's Erik Rensenbrink quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 27th match minute, S.C. Potentia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adam Messi to maneuver through the defense. AVV Zeeburgia's Aílton Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristján Kipper in the 32nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Servet Akburç got free with Mathijs Tevreden in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mathijs Tevreden made an important save on a dangerous shot by Servet Akburç in the 35th minute. 36 minutes into the match, AVV Zeeburgia's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Messi came free, but Aílton Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd match minute, S.C. Potentia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristján Kipper to maneuver through the defense. Mathijs Tevreden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gong Jian Jing, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 47th minute, S.C. Potentia's Ramon Achterberg seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ramon Achterberg the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of S.C. Potentia protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ramon Achterberg had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave AVV Zeeburgia a penalty, 49 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Servet Akburç, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of S.C. Potentia's Mathijs Tevreden. 3-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Roman Pitin kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. A collision led to AVV Zeeburgia getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Natalio Rayman hit a great ball. After 59 minutes AVV Zeeburgia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Roman Pitin who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurel Gârleanu in the 66th minute of play forced S.C. Potentia's goalkeeper Mathijs Tevreden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Anton Rovsing in the 67th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by AVV Zeeburgia's Dries Bogaard. Mathijs Tevreden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xiao Chang Chao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Servet Akburç in the 74th minute of play forced S.C. Potentia's goalkeeper Mathijs Tevreden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. S.C. Potentia's attentive Adam Messi managed to snatch the ball when Natalio Rayman made a throw-in in the 75th minute of the game. After 77 played minutes AVV Zeeburgia got a freekick which was hit by Natalio Rayman. Natalio Rayman made in the 80th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Xiao Chang Chao. Mathijs Tevreden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurel Gârleanu in the 82nd minute of play. In the 82nd minute Aurel Gârleanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathijs Tevreden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mathijs Tevreden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xiao Chang Chao, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Pitin in the 85th minute of play forced AVV Zeeburgia's goalkeeper Aílton Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mathijs Tevreden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xiao Chang Chao in the 88th minute of the match. Roman Pitin kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 93rd match minute, S.C. Potentia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anton Rovsing to maneuver through the defense. AVV Zeeburgia's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
