An unexpectedly hard shot by Huub Gerrits in the 28th minute of play forced Westenenk's goalkeeper Jaap van der Schans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Westenenk's Jaap van der Schans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Montrel Perpiñán in the 35th minute of play. Montrel Perpiñán took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jaap van der Schans. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Perivaldo Eger to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Perivaldo Eger took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Jaap van der Schans to make any attempt to save it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valio Tammisto in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mike Zoetmulder saved De Pelgrims from getting behind. Jaap van der Schans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perivaldo Eger in the 69th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mathias de Ruijter got free with Jaap van der Schans in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. De Pelgrims were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after Westenenk's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fu Peng Feng took the corner. Fu Peng Feng made a great header on De Pelgrims's corner, it was just that Westenenk's Jaap van der Schans managed to reach the ball for a save. Thanks to some nice moves Perivaldo Eger could shoot a difficult shot in the 90th minute, which Jaap van der Schans however easily saved by the left post.
