Seating: 39, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Twan Hesseling kicked off to start the match. Twan Hesselings short, quick shot in the 3rdth minute got Harry Mik to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Twan Hesseling who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Harry Mik when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 5 played minutes Leiden Spor Kulubu got a freekick which was hit by Joost de Zaaijer. 6 minutes into the match, Verwachting's Twan Hesseling sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Harry Mik narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Harry Mik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Twan Hesseling, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 11 minutes into the game, when Billy Châtelet put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 10th minute of the game. One of Leiden Spor Kulubu:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Verwachting:s goal. Leiden Spor Kulubu:s Harry Mik showed great skill when he stopped Adriaan Kuypers:s penalty. Herbert Hilhorst took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Pello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Hector Pello's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Herbert Hilhorst was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. When Twan Hesseling came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Verwachting fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Twan Hesseling couldn't finish the play. Twan Hesseling's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Harry Mik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Twan Hesseling notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Leiden Spor Kulubu's Harry Mik. Harry Mik was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 24th minute, Oliver Pieters hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 29 minutes into the match, Hector Pello notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Verwachting's Herbert Hilhorst. Herbert Hilhorst was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 33rd minute, Hector Pello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Harry Mik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Twan Hesseling in the 36th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Twan Hesseling in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Harry Mik saved Leiden Spor Kulubu from getting behind. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Verwachting's goalkeeper Herbert Hilhorst, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Christijan Schreuder had several of the Leiden Spor Kulubu's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 40 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Harry Mik as he didn't even see the shot coming. Leiden Spor Kulubu's Joost de Zaaijer managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Phoenix Soare in the 43 minute of the game. Christijan Schreuder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hector Pello to strike the kick off in the second half. If Hector Pello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Verwachting's Hans Deitmers got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Iwan van Heiningen kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 74th minute of the match Verwachting got a corner. Leiden Spor Kulubu's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Adriaan Kuypers ran over to the corner to take the kick. Verwachting's Adriaan Kuypers was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Harry Mik in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 81 minutes into the match, Twan Hesseling had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Harry Mik. Leiden Spor Kulubu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Twan Hesseling was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Twan Hesseling recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Harry Mik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruud Geels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Verwachting fans cheered their team off the field, for while Leiden Spor Kulubu had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
