FFC Merainies 03 were awarded a corner in the 3th minute after Bierunese's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Boukjan Bunt took the corner. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kevin Arnolds got free with Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 6 minutes into the match, Bierunese's goal looked a bit too open when Komen Schotte came free, but Werner Kamps reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Kevin Arnolds sent off a good shot on target. Werner Kamps took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Komen Schotte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bierunese's Werner Kamps played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Komen Schotte in the 17th minute of play. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Kevin Arnolds sent off a good shot on target. 20 minutes into the match, Kevin Arnolds had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu. FFC Merainies 03's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kevin Arnolds was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. FFC Merainies 03's Komen Schotte got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kevin Arnolds in the 24th minute. Werner Kamps took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Komen Schotte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FFC Merainies 03's Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save FFC Merainies 03 from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Craandijk in the 39th minute of play forced Bierunese's goalkeeper Werner Kamps to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Bierunese's goal looked a bit too open when Boukjan Bunt came free, but Werner Kamps reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Komen Schotte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Werner Kamps was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Komen Schotte to strike the kick off in the second half. After 69 played minutes Bierunese got a freekick which was hit by Bram Sandstra. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nathan van Aalderen in the 75th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Boukjan Bunt got free with Werner Kamps in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice moves Leon Craandijk could shoot a difficult shot in the 80th minute, which Werner Kamps however easily saved by the left post. After having played for 85 minutes, Kevin Arnolds managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bierunese's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kevin Arnolds was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christiaan Schipper in the 90th minute of play forced FFC Merainies 03's goalkeeper Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, FFC Merainies 03's Komen Schotte got a free kick in the 94th minute. After 95 played minutes Bierunese got a freekick which was hit by Pieter Denneboom. The Bierunese players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
