54 minutes into the game, Ágætis Byrjun's Nick Heesen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Ágætis Byrjun's Georg Hagberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Komen Schotte in the 58th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Nick Heesen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu was out of position in the 90 minute of play, and Pastor Donostia capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pastor Donostia really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. The FFC Merainies 03 supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ágætis Byrjun's performance. The match ended with a win for Ágætis Byrjun.
