The crowd rose to their feet as Scarlet Speedster's Fausto Mendonça slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rubinho de Amaral. That made the score 2-0 after 12 minutes of play. If Fausto Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rubinho de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Mendonça in the 20th minute of play. Baltazar Zonta kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Rubinho de Amaral was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fausto Mendonça showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 26 minute of play. Real Cruzeiro FC's Rubinho de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Váldson Bittencourt in the 29th minute of play. After some careless play in the Real Cruzeiro FC defense, Váldson Bittencourt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rubinho de Amaral. The Real Cruzeiro FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rubinho de Amaral should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Real Cruzeiro FC booed when Scarlet Speedster was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edward Krzynowek didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Naldo Proença showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 34th minute, Scarlet Speedster's Fausto Mendonça ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rubinho de Amaral. Rubinho de Amaral yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0. In the 37th minute, Natã Madureira made a precise shot to the right of Naldo Proença. Scarlet Speedster's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. With a little luck, Real Cruzeiro FC's Rubinho de Amaral got control of the ball when Fausto Mendonça tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rubinho de Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. 43 minutes into the game, Fausto Mendonça recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rubinho de Amaral. Fausto Mendonça showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 6-1. 46 minutes into the match, Real Cruzeiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Mendonça came free, but Rubinho de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fausto Mendonça stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fausto Mendonça took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rubinho de Amaral. Rubinho de Amaral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-1. Rubinho de Amaral didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ekialde Nadal went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 10-1 was the resulting score. In the 84thth minute of the game Ekialde Nadal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Cruzeiro FC's Rubinho de Amaral was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ekialde Nadal in the 89th minute of play forced Real Cruzeiro FC's goalkeeper Rubinho de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the game, Scarlet Speedster's Ekialde Nadal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rubinho de Amaral made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 12-1. Scarlet Speedster's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
