But to his dismay, Ronaldo Nazario quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 17th match minute, Olympique Deleon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalton Ali to maneuver through the defense. William Fagrell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilson Freire, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 28th minute Samuel Dahlberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otávio Sanches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Otávio Sanches took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Nazario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Taquaral Campineiro players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Olympique Deleon were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Ronaldo Nazario made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Nazario in the 51st minute of play forced Taquaral Campineiro's goalkeeper Otávio Sanches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Otávio Sanches came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Olympique Deleon's Ronaldo Nazario. Mats Hummels lost his temper 66 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After having played for 68 minutes, Bruninho Simão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Taquaral Campineiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruninho Simão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dalton Ali hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. A collision led to Olympique Deleon getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Ronaldo Nazario hit a great ball. If Giovanni Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Taquaral Campineiro's Otávio Sanches proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Taquaral Campineiro from getting a goal against them. In the 86th minute, Gilson Falcão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Olympique Deleon booed when Taquaral Campineiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Martins didn't get a good kick on the ball. Samuel Dahlberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Otávio Sanches tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olympique Deleon's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
