Reginaldo Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Otávio Sanches tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ismael de Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Willian Mazza in the 6th minute of the match. Otávio Sanches made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Fabinho Vinhas sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reginaldo Teixeira in the 11th minute of play forced Taquaral Campineiro's goalkeeper Otávio Sanches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ismael de Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilson Freire in the 16th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Taquaral Campineiro's goal looked a bit too open when Reginaldo Teixeira came free, but Otávio Sanches reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Otávio Sanches made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabinho Vinhas in the 25th minute. Taquaral Campineiro's Otávio Sanches played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hílton Alagoano in the 26th minute of play. Otávio Sanches showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reginaldo Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 35th minute Hílton Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otávio Sanches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Taquaral Campineiro's goalkeeper Otávio Sanches had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafinha Gonçalves. If Fabinho Vinhas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Taquaral Campineiro's Otávio Sanches proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Taquaral Campineiro from getting a goal against them. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Wilson Freire made the kick off in the second half. Gustavo Sena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Ismael de Carvalho made a huge save. Ismael de Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilson Freire in the 56th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Taquaral Campineiro's goal looked a bit too open when Fabinho Vinhas came free, but Otávio Sanches reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Taquaral Campineiro's goal looked a bit too open when Reginaldo Teixeira came free, but Otávio Sanches reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But to his dismay, Fabinho Vinhas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Reginaldo Teixeira hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Ismael de Carvalho stood somewhat misplaced when Wilson Freire came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 73 minute. After 76 played minutes S.E. Cachoeirinha got a freekick which was hit by Rafinha Gonçalves. After 78 played minutes Taquaral Campineiro got a freekick which was hit by Willian Mazza. After some careless play in the Taquaral Campineiro defense, Fabinho Vinhas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Otávio Sanches. The Taquaral Campineiro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Otávio Sanches should have stopped the shot. After 87 played minutes S.E. Cachoeirinha got a freekick which was hit by João Carlos Reis. When Amílton Pirani came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Taquaral Campineiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amílton Pirani couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Taquaral Campineiro booed when S.E. Cachoeirinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Adolfo de Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 91 minutes of play S.E. Cachoeirinha's Rafinha Gonçalves was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 92 played minutes S.E. Cachoeirinha got a freekick which was hit by Rafinha Gonçalves.
