Horácio Zanette made in the 7th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Inácio Vasconcelos immediately put the ball in play. Aloísio Abreu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel de Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 19th minute, Abel de Godoi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aloísio Abreu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel de Godoi in the 22nd minute of play forced Matadores FC's goalkeeper Aloísio Abreu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th match minute, Matadores FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogério Carneiro to maneuver through the defense. Aloísio Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel de Godoi in the 26th minute of play. When Olivedos's Abel de Godoi in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Aloísio Abreu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Magno Sampaio in the 40th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilton Fontes in the 42nd minute of play forced Olivedos's goalkeeper Yuri da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Abel de Godoi notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Matadores FC's Aloísio Abreu. Aloísio Abreu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nilton Fontes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Abel de Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aloísio Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel de Godoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matadores FC's Aloísio Abreu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Matadores FC from getting a goal against them. Abel de Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Aloísio Abreu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 64 minutes into the match, Matadores FC's goalkeeper Aloísio Abreu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Magno Sampaio. Magno Sampaio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Aloísio Abreu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 68 minutes into the match, Matadores FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abel de Godoi came free, but Aloísio Abreu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Matadores FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Horácio Zanette hit a great ball. Abel de Godoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aloísio Abreu having to interfere. With a little luck, Matadores FC's Aloísio Abreu got control of the ball when Alexsandro da Costa tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 77th minute of the match Olivedos got a corner. Matadores FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luisinho Ceresso ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Luís Novaes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Matadores FC's Aloísio Abreu did a great save. Abel de Godoi struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Aloísio Abreu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olivedos. Rogério Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Magno Sampaio came free with the goalkeeper in the 83rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Aloísio Abreu could save by the left post. Abel de Godoi in the 88thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Aloísio Abreu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 90th minute Abel de Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aloísio Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Olivedos booed when Matadores FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horácio Zanette didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 96 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Magno Sampaio sped through Matadores FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Aloísio Abreu. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Olivedos had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
