Renascer's Donato Souza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Renascer from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Olivedos getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Luisinho Ceresso hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel de Godoi in the 9th minute of play forced Renascer's goalkeeper Donato Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Olivedos's goal looked a bit too open when Horácio Maciel came free, but Yuri da Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yuri da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gong Yi Feng in the 17th minute of play. After 23 minutes of play, Renascer's Luisão Favoretto made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Yuri da Cunha was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Olivedos booed when Renascer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Skwira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yuri da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisão Favoretto in the 35th minute of play. Ricardinho Vianna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 40 minutes into the match, Luisinho Ceresso sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Donato Souza threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Luisinho Ceresso this time. In the 42nd minute Edmundo Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yuri da Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ricardinho Vianna got free with Donato Souza in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 45 minutes into the game, Ricardinho Vianna recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Donato Souza. Ricardinho Vianna showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. 48 minutes into the match, Renascer's goalkeeper Donato Souza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricardinho Vianna. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edmundo Carvalho was the one to do the kick off. Yuri da Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisão Favoretto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adam Skwira hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Renascer defense, Abel de Godoi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Donato Souza. The Renascer fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Donato Souza should have stopped the shot. Renascer's Donato Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardinho Vianna in the 60th minute of play. Olivedos's Yuri da Cunha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Olivedos from getting a goal against them. Luisinho Ceresso took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Donato Souza. Renascer's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Kaká Passos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Donato Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donato Souza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abel de Godoi went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Olivedos had won after a very even match.
