The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonidas Orange got free with Gianluigi Buffon in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 28thth minute of the game Vitor Roque who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but S.C.PAULISTA's Lucas Maciel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by S.C.PAULISTA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Asmund Nyvold was slow to take the kick. During this time Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ's Asmund Nyvold to fire away a dangerous shot which Lucas Maciel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Leonidas Orange blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gianluigi Buffon having to make a save. In the 39th minute, Duda Vergílio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 42 minutes into the match, Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ's goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by César Eger. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, César Eger took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Gianluigi Buffon to make any attempt to save it. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

S.C.PAULISTA's Beto de Almeida managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Barry Baxter in the 56 minute of the game. In the 59th minute of the match Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ got a corner. S.C.PAULISTA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Asmund Nyvold ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ's Asmund Nyvold to fire away a dangerous shot which Lucas Maciel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Asmund Nyvold hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Lucas Maciel made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Arnaldo Alsua sent off a good shot on target. In the 71st minute, Arnaldo Alsua made a precise shot to the right of Lucas Maciel. S.C.PAULISTA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arnaldo Alsua in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lucas Maciel saved S.C.PAULISTA from getting behind. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 80th minute of the game. One of Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of S.C.PAULISTA:s goal. In the 81st minute there was a penalty for S.C.PAULISTA. Jorge Neto stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gianluigi Buffon. 2-1. Gianluigi Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonidas Orange in the 87th minute of play. Lucas Maciel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barry Baxter, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ's Albertinho Cavalcante got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lucas Maciel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albertinho Cavalcante, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Lucas Maciel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Albertinho Cavalcante's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. If Barry Baxter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. S.C.PAULISTA's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
