The corner ended in Arnaldo Alsua almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SAO JOANENSE FC's Amadeu Lamego did a great save. Arnaldo Alsua in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Amadeu Lamego, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to SAO JOANENSE FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Luiz Fabiano de Medeiros hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the match, SAO JOANENSE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vitor Roque came free, but Amadeu Lamego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gianluigi Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elói Cosme, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Amadeu Lamego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnaldo Alsua in the 22nd minute. In the 22nd minute, Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ's Arnaldo Alsua ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Amadeu Lamego. Amadeu Lamego yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The supporters of SAO JOANENSE FC booed when Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulysses Camargo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vitor Roque sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Asmund Nyvold kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Amadeu Lamego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vitor Roque's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Arnaldo Alsua notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of SAO JOANENSE FC's Amadeu Lamego. Amadeu Lamego was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Arnaldo Alsuas short, quick shot in the 44thth minute got Amadeu Lamego to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, SAO JOANENSE FC's Abelardo Carvalho got a free kick in the 47th minute. Amadeu Lamego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Asmund Nyvold in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

51 minutes into the match, Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ's Arnaldo Alsua sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amadeu Lamego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gianluigi Buffon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elias Veloso went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arnaldo Alsua in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amadeu Lamego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Amadeu Lamego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arnaldo Alsua's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. In the 67th minute, Arnaldo Alsua made a precise shot to the right of Amadeu Lamego. SAO JOANENSE FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. In the 72nd minute Vitor Roque shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Lamego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amadeu Lamego came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ's Vitor Roque. But to his dismay, Vitor Roque quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitor Roque in the 77th minute of play forced SAO JOANENSE FC's goalkeeper Amadeu Lamego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Arnaldo Alsua notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of SAO JOANENSE FC's Amadeu Lamego. Amadeu Lamego was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Arnaldo Alsua struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Amadeu Lamego didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ. In the 90thth minute of the game Arnaldo Alsua who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SAO JOANENSE FC's Amadeu Lamego was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 91st minute Arnaldo Alsua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Lamego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Asmund Nyvold in the 93rd minute. Asmund Nyvold made a great header on Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ's corner, it was just that SAO JOANENSE FC's Amadeu Lamego managed to reach the ball for a save. Albertinho Cavalcante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeu Lamego having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the SAO JOANENSE FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ.
