After 22 minutes AVAÍ F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sylwester Tscherner who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Sylwester Tscherner almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but AVAÍ F.C.'s Marcos Buffon did a great save. Dario Alegría scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cemalettin Yatman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 27th minute Tarcisio Chaves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cemalettin Yatman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, Dario Alegría ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cemalettin Yatman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Percival Koehler in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcos Buffon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alex Sági blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cemalettin Yatman having to make a save. 39 minutes into the match, AVAÍ F.C.'s goalkeeper Marcos Buffon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Taylor Swift. The audience thought a goal was coming when Taylor Swift got free with Marcos Buffon in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Taylor Swift stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Mitnarotov FC fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Mitnarotov FC's Ulryk Babicki looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 61st minute Hortêncio Rosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Buffon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Taylor Swift's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dario Alegría in the 69th minute of play forced Mitnarotov FC's goalkeeper Cemalettin Yatman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Percival Koehler had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Buffon. AVAÍ F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Percival Koehler was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Mitnarotov FC's Manuel Şoimu was substituted for Lenílson Goiano. Alex Sági could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Cemalettin Yatman made a huge save. In the 77th match minute, AVAÍ F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manfredo Gerber to maneuver through the defense. Marcos Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rasgun Cool in the 82nd minute of play. Marcos Buffon came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Mitnarotov FC's Rasgun Cool. But to his dismay, Rasgun Cool quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Marcos Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rasgun Cool, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Mitnarotov FC's Cemalettin Yatman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claus Van De Wiele in the 91st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claus Van De Wiele in the 91st minute of play forced Mitnarotov FC's goalkeeper Cemalettin Yatman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mitnarotov FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
