Dida Taffarel was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Toscano in the 15th minute of play forced Marquês de Herval's goalkeeper Dida Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robben Spoelberchs got free with Dida Taffarel in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tales Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorian Moraes in the 21st minute of play. Osvaldo Velloso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Dida Taffarel made a huge save. In the 25th minute of the match, Fernando Toscano tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dida Taffarel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfredo Martins in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tales Brito prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 28thth minute of the game Alfredo Martins who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Castanheiro SC's Tales Brito was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fernando Toscano in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dida Taffarel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 46th minute, Selami Rezan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Marquês de Herval from getting a goal against them. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Castanheiro SC made a substitution. 陶渊伟 replaced José Pedro Carneiro. The wind increased when Robben Spoelberchs made the kick off in the second half. Dida Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Toscano in the 78th minute of the match. Dida Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Toscano in the 82nd minute of play. Dida Taffarel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Robben Spoelberchs went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. German Cano succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-1 in the 93rd playminute. When the referee ended the match the Castanheiro SC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
