Marcos Buffon was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 33rd minute Alex Sági shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nico Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 40 played minutes Encanto got a freekick which was hit by Romeu Mesquita. Encanto's Nico Tasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dario Alegría in the 43rd minute of play. When the match clock showed 43 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Dario Alegría sped through Encanto's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nico Tasso. The AVAÍ F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Encanto were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Walmyr Salles was the one to do the kick off. Dario Alegría scored 2-2 in the 50th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nico Tasso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 54 minutes into the match, Encanto's goal looked a bit too open when Rubens Cabral came free, but Nico Tasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 65 minutes, Walmyr Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AVAÍ F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Walmyr Salles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Encanto's Nico Tasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walmyr Salles in the 67th minute of play. Walmyr Salles ran back to his position shaking his head. 83 minutes into the match, Encanto's goal looked a bit too open when Walmyr Salles came free, but Nico Tasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Walmyr Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nico Tasso having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Dario Alegría had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nico Tasso. Encanto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dario Alegría was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. AVAÍ F.C. made a substitution. Augusto Penha replaced Rubens Cabral. A collision led to AVAÍ F.C. getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Manfredo Gerber hit a great ball. Dario Alegría scored 6-2 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nico Tasso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
