The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the match, América-SC F.C.'s goalkeeper Nestor Quirino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Geovanni Leme. A collision led to Colognese FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Ruben Casado hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabi Gol in the 10th minute of play forced Colognese FC's goalkeeper Alfredinho Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgard Batista got free with Nestor Quirino in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 15th minute Ruben Casado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Quirino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgard Batista's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nestor Quirino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kobe Haaland in the 22nd minute of play forced Colognese FC's goalkeeper Alfredinho Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgard Batista got free with Nestor Quirino in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 28 minutes into the match, América-SC F.C.'s goalkeeper Nestor Quirino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Geovanni Leme. The supporters of América-SC F.C. booed when Colognese FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvério Barreto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gabi Gol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredinho Carneiro having to interfere. Nestor Quirino made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Geovanni Leme sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Colognese FC's zone, Gabi Gol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredinho Carneiro came out of the goal and Gabi Gol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 44th minute, Ioan Cocârlă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfredinho Carneiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kobe Haaland in the 45th minute of play. América-SC F.C.'s Nestor Quirino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruben Casado in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gabi Gol to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, América-SC F.C.'s Kobe Haaland got a free kick in the 51st minute. Nestor Quirino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruben Casado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nestor Quirino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Batista in the 56th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Colognese FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gabi Gol came free, but Alfredinho Carneiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nestor Quirino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgard Batista in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 65th minute Geovanni Leme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Quirino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Colognese FC made a substitution. Alfredinho Carneiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
