The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute Ernesto Fontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Géza Vlaszák saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Géza Vlaszák showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heleno de Freitas, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. The Edson Futebol Clube fans' excitement grew in the 6th match minute when Edson Futebol Clube's Heleno de Freitas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Géza Vlaszák took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Fontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute Noah Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Christini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fml Cobiçados HD's Géza Vlaszák played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Fontes in the 24th minute of play. Heleno de Freitas took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Géza Vlaszák. Géza Vlaszák dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 30th minute Ernesto Fontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Géza Vlaszák saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paul Christini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mister Tihiy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Heleno de Freitas took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Géza Vlaszák. Géza Vlaszák dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. 37 minutes into the match, Edson Futebol Clube's Ernesto Fontes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Géza Vlaszák narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fml Cobiçados HD made a substitution. José Paulo Alvarenga replaced Mister Tihiy. In the 39th minute of the match Edson Futebol Clube got a corner. Fml Cobiçados HD's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tao Xing Yong ran over to the corner to take the kick. Panos Karkantos was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heleno de Freitas in the 42nd minute of play forced Fml Cobiçados HD's goalkeeper Géza Vlaszák to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 45 played minutes Fml Cobiçados HD got a freekick which was hit by Haroldo França. After the first half Edson Futebol Clube were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

If Panos Karkantos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Géza Vlaszák was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ernesto Fontes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 55 minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Fml Cobiçados HD's goal looked a bit too open when Heleno de Freitas came free, but Géza Vlaszák reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heleno de Freitas in the 61st minute of play forced Fml Cobiçados HD's goalkeeper Géza Vlaszák to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute, Ronaldo Guimarães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 63 minutes into the match, Fml Cobiçados HD's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Fontes came free, but Géza Vlaszák reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Edson Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Boncho Badinski came free, but Paul Christini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 66 minutes into the game, Heleno de Freitas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Géza Vlaszák. Heleno de Freitas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. After 71 played minutes Fml Cobiçados HD got a freekick which was hit by Dawson Cole. Dawson Cole kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Géza Vlaszák showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heleno de Freitas in the 74th minute of the match. 74 minutes into the game, Heleno de Freitas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Géza Vlaszák was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernesto Fontes got free with Géza Vlaszák in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A sloppy throw-in by Ronaldo Guimarães in the 85th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Edson Futebol Clube's Ernesto Fontes. In the 86th minute Heleno de Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Géza Vlaszák saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Edson Futebol Clube defense, José Paulo Alvarenga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paul Christini. The Edson Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paul Christini should have stopped the shot. In the 92nd minute, Haroldo França hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Edson Futebol Clube's Tao Xing Yong tried to score from far away in the 93rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Panos Karkantos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
