Mecnun Akbaşak hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Guarani Futebol Clube's Gernando Custódio got a free kick in the 20th minute. Guarani Futebol Clube's Ferenc Puskás got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fábio Pinheiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ferenc Puskás might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fábio Pinheiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ferenc Puskás ran back to his position shaking his head. When Guarani Futebol Clube's Ferenc Puskás in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Fábio Pinheiro had in the 70thth minute some difficulties stopping Ferenc Puskás's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 70th minute, Ferenc Puskás ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fábio Pinheiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. In the 72nd minute, Dino do Vale got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Guarani Futebol Clube's Sílvio Luiz Alcântara got control of the ball when Júnior Quintana tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 89th match minute, Gremio NG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dino do Vale to maneuver through the defense. Ferenc Puskás fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fábio Pinheiro having to interfere. There was no doubt that Guarani Futebol Clube were the better team. Guarani Futebol Clube's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
