With a couple of smart ball manuevers Flavinho Mello in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alessandro Linares saved Caldebrazza from getting behind. In the 30th minute of the match Caldebrazza got a corner. Breguete FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hubertas Dabkevičius ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 34th minute Radu Bulă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro Linares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Caldebrazza booed when Breguete FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Allan Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
