Silvinho Quintal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Silvinho Quintal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christiano Barreto in the 35th minute of the match. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pinheiros Capibaras FC's goalkeeper Silvinho Quintal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 41 minutes into the match, Christiano Barreto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Silvinho Quintal. Pinheiros Capibaras FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christiano Barreto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. Silvinho Quintal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arne Kullander in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Leões do Sul 53 were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Benedito Trevisan made the kick off in the second half. Roman Pavlyuchenko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. Pinheiros Capibaras FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Rony Rüşti scored to the left of an out of position Silvinho Quintal, making the score, 0-9. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arne Kullander got free with Silvinho Quintal in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Arne Kullander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Frankie Gunn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roman Pavlyuchenko in the 85th minute of the match. Frankie Gunn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedito Trevisan, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by Leões do Sul 53's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Benedito Trevisan was slow to take the kick. During this time Pinheiros Capibaras FC's players had a chance to rest. Silvinho Quintal came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Leões do Sul 53's Arne Kullander. But to his dismay, Arne Kullander quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-11.
