The audience was convinced that José de Queirós's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frankie Gunn was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. With his leg Frankie Gunn managed to avoid a goal in the 10thth minute, when Guadalupe FC - CIMZ's José de Queirós fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, José de Queirós put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Frankie Gunn. Frankie Gunn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Casomiro in the 17th minute of play. Frankie Gunn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hugo Casomiro went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Hieronim Gdowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rony Rüşti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leões do Sul 53's Rony Rüşti got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José de Queirós's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Frankie Gunn firmly grabbed it by the left post. Leões do Sul 53's Frankie Gunn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Leões do Sul 53 from getting a goal against them. In the 37th minute Hugo Casomiro suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 37 minutes, Toninho Gonçalves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leões do Sul 53 and the Guadalupe FC - CIMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Guadalupe FC - CIMZ's Thierry Bianchini was substituted for Hugo Casomiro. In the 39th minute, Toninho Gonçalves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Walmyr Travassos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guadalupe FC - CIMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Walmyr Travassos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frankie Gunn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Guadalupe FC - CIMZ's Thierry Bianchini in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Leões do Sul 53's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Leões do Sul 53's Hílton Britto got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arne Kullander stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Tatu Loco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guadalupe FC - CIMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leões do Sul 53 the free kick. A collision led to Guadalupe FC - CIMZ getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Tatu Loco hit a great ball. Frankie Gunn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José de Queirós in the 54th minute of the match. Rony Rüşti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Hieronim Gdowski made a huge save. After 58 played minutes Guadalupe FC - CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Chicão Capixaba. Frankie Gunn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José de Queirós went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. José de Queirós might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frankie Gunn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José de Queirós ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 4-0 when José de Queirós sped through Leões do Sul 53's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Frankie Gunn. José de Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frankie Gunn having to interfere. A collision led to Guadalupe FC - CIMZ getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Gerson Dionísio hit a great ball. Frankie Gunn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José de Queirós's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. In the 74th match minute, Guadalupe FC - CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramón Guerra to maneuver through the defense. After 79 minutes, José de Queirós made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Leões do Sul 53's Frankie Gunn tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frankie Gunn showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Vinícius Andrade recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frankie Gunn came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Guadalupe FC - CIMZ's José de Queirós. But to his dismay, José de Queirós quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. When the referee ended the match the Guadalupe FC - CIMZ players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
