Narciso Mendes scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frankie Gunn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Börje Westerberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tang Quan Yan having to interfere. Frankie Gunn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Narciso Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. If Börje Westerberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jhonny Rabelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frankie Gunn having to interfere. Börje Westerberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Tang Quan Yan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th match minute, Leões do Sul 53 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arne Kullander to maneuver through the defense.

The wind increased when Narciso Mendes made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Leões do Sul 53 getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Žygimantas Ivaška hit a great ball. Tang Quan Yan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Börje Westerberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 59 played minutes Pinheiros Capibaras FC got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Soeiro. Arne Kullander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evandro Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 65 minutes into the game, when Žygimantas Ivaška put in a rough tackle. Arne Kullander struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Tang Quan Yan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leões do Sul 53. Evandro Alves hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. A collision led to Pinheiros Capibaras FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. João Augusto hit a great ball. Tang Quan Yan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börje Westerberg in the 74th minute of play. Tang Quan Yan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Börje Westerberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arne Kullander in the 77th minute of play forced Pinheiros Capibaras FC's goalkeeper Tang Quan Yan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Börje Westerberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Frankie Gunn made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Narciso Mendes sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Arne Kullander managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leões do Sul 53's supporters rose to their feet, but Arne Kullander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tang Quan Yan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guto Kleber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Tang Quan Yan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tang Quan Yan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börje Westerberg in the 91st minute of play. After 91 minutes of play, Leões do Sul 53's Börje Westerberg made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tang Quan Yan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rony Rüşti charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rony Rüşti the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Leões do Sul 53's Rony Rüşti got a free kick in the 95th minute. In the 96th minute Jhonny Rabelo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frankie Gunn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Narciso Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pinheiros Capibaras FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
