The referee ignored FIEL F.C.'s protests and gave Eliézer Mendonça a yellow card for diving instead. Ezequiel Lore's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Norbert Balonek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Goianésia E.C's Norbert Balonek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel Lore in the 22nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Attila Kertész kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Adelino Vasconcelos. That made the score 1-0 in the 23 minute of play. Adelino Vasconcelos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mark Faiko in the 26th minute. After a rather tough play, Goianésia E.C's Deivid Paraíba got a free kick in the 29th minute. Luiz Fábio Leão's late challenge caught a Goianésia E.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adelino Vasconcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Attila Kertész in the 61st minute of the match. When Eliézer Mendonça was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 62 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, FIEL F.C.'s Eliézer Mendonça got a free kick in the 62nd minute. A collision led to FIEL F.C. getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Eliézer Mendonça hit a great ball. 66 minutes into the match, FIEL F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Attila Kertész came free, but Adelino Vasconcelos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adelino Vasconcelos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Attila Kertész, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 97th minute, Attila Kertész made a precise shot to the right of Adelino Vasconcelos. FIEL F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Goianésia E.C's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
