Spectators: 147 (Terracing: 111, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 2) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Durvalino Cavalcante started the match with the kick off. Vitório Massa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Saldanha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Richard Saldanha took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vitório Massa. Vitório Massa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Sílvio Luís Goiano hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After having played for 10 minutes, Valério Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Valério Santana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 12 minutes, Ramón Abreu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Erasmo Cardoso scored 0-2 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vitório Massa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Itapema defense, Ronaldinho Gaucho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vitório Massa. The Itapema fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vitório Massa should have stopped the shot. 26 minutes into the game, ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Erasmo Cardoso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vitório Massa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Vitório Massa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Saldanha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erasmo Cardoso in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vitório Massa saved Itapema from getting behind. After 36 minutes of play, ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Richard Saldanha made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vitório Massa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Durvalino Cavalcante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Ramón Abreu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-5 lead.

In the 51st minute Erasmo Cardoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitório Massa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ronaldinho Gaucho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Vitório Massa made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronaldinho Gaucho got free with Vitório Massa in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 60 minutes into the match, ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s goal looked a bit too open when Durvalino Cavalcante came free, but Ramón Abreu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Erasmo Cardoso ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vitório Massa. Vitório Massa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-6. ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Dudu Berger was substituted for Ronaldinho Gaucho. Itapema's Vitório Massa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Itapema from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Itapema getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Vladimir Albuquerque hit a great ball. Richard Saldanha kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Alex Félix hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After 86 played minutes ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ got a freekick which was hit by Valério Santana. After a defensive mix-up in Itapema's zone, Igor Braga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vitório Massa came out of the goal and Igor Braga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vitório Massa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erasmo Cardoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After a rather tough play, Itapema's Sílvio Luís Goiano got a free kick in the 95th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
