After 2 played minutes Nitra FC got a freekick which was hit by Williams Ferrari. In the 8th minute of the game Eugenio Ramundo made a throw-in which Amos Maietta played forward. Williams Ferrari charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Williams Ferrari the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 22 played minutes Nitra FC got a freekick which was hit by Nando Pinho. Jerônimo Maranhense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Durvalino Cavalcante in the 23rd minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Nitra FC's goalie and right to Durvalino Cavalcante. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Nitra FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Vitório Massa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedrinho Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Durvalino Cavalcante got free with Jerônimo Maranhense in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vitório Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrinho Castro in the 33rd minute of play. Nando Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitório Massa having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Magno Saldanha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eugenio Ramundo made in the 42nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Amos Maietta. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yuri Tutorskiy to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Sebastião Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerônimo Maranhense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Magno Saldanha kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. José Pedro Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Durvalino Cavalcante in the 54th minute of play forced Nitra FC's goalkeeper Jerônimo Maranhense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute Pedrinho Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitório Massa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nando Pinho during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpected shot in the 60th minute by Yuri Tutorskiy got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The supporters of Nitra FC booed when Itapema was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Magno Saldanha didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nitra FC's goalkeeper Jerônimo Maranhense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Yuri Tutorskiy got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 0-1 in the right cross in the 71st match minute before Vitório Massa had time to react. After 76 minutes of play, Nitra FC's Yuri Tutorskiy made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vitório Massa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Amos Maietta charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amos Maietta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vitório Massa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedrinho Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Itapema's Vitório Massa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedrinho Castro in the 84th minute of play. If Amos Maietta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Itapema's Sebastião Nascimento got a free kick in the 88th minute. Vitório Massa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedrinho Castro went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. With an all-out effort, Nitra FC's Vitório Massa threw himself towards the right post 93 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pedrinho Castro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Nitra FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
