An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Lago in the 40th minute of play forced Calopsita EC's goalkeeper Ulysses Novaes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute Cristiano Lago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulysses Novaes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

A collision led to Until Five getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. José Maria Lima hit a great ball. Ulysses Novaes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristiano Lago's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristiano Lago in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ulysses Novaes saved Calopsita EC from getting behind. In the 90th match minute, Until Five was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Germano Mota to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Cristiano Lago's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ulysses Novaes was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. If Cristiano Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Calopsita EC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
