Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcus Prata in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armindo Maltez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 41 minutes into the match, Real Brasília FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Armindo Maltez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vilhelm Lorden. Real Brasília FC - DMZ's Nildo Perez quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ulysses Dionísio, made in the 45th minute of the game. 46 minutes into the match, GAÚCHO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Yanick Winnepennincx came free, but Raí Seco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After some careless play in the Real Brasília FC - DMZ defense, Vilhelm Lorden kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armindo Maltez. The Real Brasília FC - DMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armindo Maltez should have stopped the shot.
