The throw-in from Rolando Obano in the 3rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Soin Buisan. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simo Mihklisaar in the 4th minute of play forced Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's goalkeeper Valentin Bernal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ booed when Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Luís Furtado didn't get a good kick on the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s goalkeeper Raphael Dantas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Soin Buisan. In the 13th minute Simo Mihklisaar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Bernal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raphael Dantas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Milko in the 14th minute of the match. Raphael Dantas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Milko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the match, Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Simo Mihklisaar came free, but Valentin Bernal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute Simo Mihklisaar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Bernal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After taking down the ball on Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s corner Tim-Florian T. Hansen fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Valentin Bernal quite easily take care of the ball. Lucio Morningstar was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 24th minute. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Igor Milko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Raphael Dantas made a huge save. Raphael Dantas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Milko in the 29th minute of play. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Soin Buisan took the corner. Téo Matorin hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. If Zbigniew Zatorski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 33 played minutes Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- got a freekick which was hit by Andrea Heraso. Valentin Bernal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zbigniew Zatorski in the 37th minute of the match. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mauro Quirino took the corner. The corner led Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Rolando Obano to fire away a dangerous shot which Valentin Bernal despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's goalkeeper Valentin Bernal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Valentin Bernal came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Zbigniew Zatorski. But to his dismay, Zbigniew Zatorski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Valentin Bernal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cayetano Monico in the 87th minute of play forced Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s goalkeeper Raphael Dantas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Tony Thanos came free, but Valentin Bernal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- defense, Cayetano Monico kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raphael Dantas. The Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raphael Dantas should have stopped the shot. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- for a fine match.
