Moisés Bueno hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zbigniew Zatorski in the 6th minute of play forced Mamutes EC's goalkeeper Magno Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Mamutes EC's goal looked a bit too open when Zbigniew Zatorski came free, but Magno Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dave Panno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raphael Dantas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute of the match Mamutes EC got a corner. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Valério Meireles ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a defensive mix-up in Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s zone, Amadeu Rocha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raphael Dantas came out of the goal and Amadeu Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Mamutes EC's Dave Panno slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Raphael Dantas. That made the score 1-1 after 41 minutes of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zbigniew Zatorski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dave Panno struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Raphael Dantas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mamutes EC. In the 56th minute, Zbigniew Zatorski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- booed when Mamutes EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Väino Kartul didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edu França in the 64th minute of play forced Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s goalkeeper Raphael Dantas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Mamutes EC's goalkeeper Magno Correia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tony Thanos. Magno Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tony Thanos, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zbigniew Zatorski in the 73rd minute of play forced Mamutes EC's goalkeeper Magno Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Mamutes EC's Dave Panno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raphael Dantas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Mamutes EC's Magno Correia got control of the ball when Tony Thanos tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 86th minute, Dave Panno left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mamutes EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 90th minute, Tor Svensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raphael Dantas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dave Panno in the 92nd minute of play.
