Telmo de Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erasmo Simão in the 29th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luizão Lima in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Falcão Sampaio saved Grentino FC from getting behind. Sport Club Mavericks's Telmo de Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeu de Alcântara in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th match minute, Sport Club Mavericks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven Herling to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the match, Sport Club Mavericks's goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo Simão came free, but Telmo de Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bo Edström made a great header on Grentino FC's corner, it was just that Sport Club Mavericks's Telmo de Amorim managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 55th minute, Grentino FC's Erasmo Simão dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Sport Club Mavericks's Honorio Efraim was substituted for Luizão Lima. Grentino FC's Falcão Sampaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorio Efraim in the 63rd minute of play. After 69 minutes of play, Grentino FC's Gualter Sampaio made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Telmo de Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! Joaquin Xacintu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Telmo de Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. When Gualter Sampaio came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Grentino FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gualter Sampaio couldn't finish the play. Grentino FC's Falcão Sampaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Guerreiro in the 79th minute of play. With a little luck, Sport Club Mavericks's Telmo de Amorim got control of the ball when Gualter Sampaio tried to sneak it across the goal line.
