Fedor Delafosse hit a great ball. Falcão Sampaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorio Efraim in the 13th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Honorio Efraim made a precise shot to the right of Falcão Sampaio. Grentino FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 19 minutes into the match, Sport Club Mavericks's goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo Simão came free, but Telmo de Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Honorio Efraim had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Falcão Sampaio. Grentino FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Honorio Efraim was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 24 minutes into the match, Sport Club Mavericks's goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo Simão came free, but Telmo de Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grentino FC's Falcão Sampaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorio Efraim in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Sven Herling hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Telmo de Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gualter Sampaio in the 32nd minute of the match. Falcão Sampaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorio Efraim in the 33rd minute of play. The supporters of Grentino FC booed when Sport Club Mavericks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Paulo de Sena didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Erasmo Simão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Telmo de Amorim was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luizão Lima made a kick off. Sport Club Mavericks's Dani Alves was substituted for Serginho Quirino. In the 62nd match minute, Sport Club Mavericks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thiago Tinoco to maneuver through the defense. Joaquin Xacintu succeeded in the game's 64th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luizão Lima in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Falcão Sampaio saved Grentino FC from getting behind. Telmo de Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gualter Sampaio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sport Club Mavericks's Telmo de Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquin Xacintu in the 79th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquin Xacintu in the 86th minute of play forced Sport Club Mavericks's goalkeeper Telmo de Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luizão Lima recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Grentino FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
