Falcão Sampaio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Chico Donato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erasmo Simão in the 25th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Niculae Martinescu got free with Falcão Sampaio in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 30th minute Roberto Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falcão Sampaio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Chico Donato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeu de Alcântara in the 34th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Niculae Martinescu could shoot a difficult shot in the 35th minute, which Falcão Sampaio however easily saved by the left post. Grentino FC's Falcão Sampaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Lopes in the 37th minute of play. Niculae Martinescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 46 played minutes DIPLOMATA FC PAB got a freekick which was hit by Wilton do Valle. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.
