Gláuber Fernandes tried in the 16th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Andrézinho Valladares a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 1-0. If Ramiro Coutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ibis Football Club's goalkeeper Eusébio Gaúcho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Reginaldo Linares charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reginaldo Linares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Ibis Football Club's zone, Renatinho Reis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eusébio Gaúcho came out of the goal and Renatinho Reis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 29 minutes into the game, Ibis Football Club's Dino Lira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andrézinho Valladares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Andrézinho Valladares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorian Rosado in the 32nd minute of the match. After 37 played minutes Ibis Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Dino Lira. Ramiro Coutinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Enrique Vargas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ibis Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Enrique Vargas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrézinho Valladares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laércio da Silva got free with Andrézinho Valladares in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ramiro Coutinho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Bandeirinha AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andrézinho Valladares should have stopped the shot. Laerte Vander's late challenge caught a Bandeirinha AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ibis Football Club's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
