Caco Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joris Scheer in the 22nd minute of the match. When Joris Scheer came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the S.C.CHUÍ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joris Scheer couldn't finish the play. In the 27th match minute, SORRISO E. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Romero to maneuver through the defense. Bernardinho Abreu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Caco Azevedo came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by S.C.CHUÍ's Joris Scheer. But to his dismay, Joris Scheer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. S.C.CHUÍ's Joris Scheer got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Gamarra hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. 47 minutes into the match, S.C.CHUÍ's goalkeeper Armando Cerezo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cléber da Costa. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Murilo Prestes made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernardinho Abreu in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Caco Azevedo saved SORRISO E. C. from getting behind. Zachary Cwynar charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zachary Cwynar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of S.C.CHUÍ booed when SORRISO E. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zachary Cwynar didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, S.C.CHUÍ's Caco Azevedo threw himself towards the right post 77 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bernardinho Abreu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 78 minutes into the match, S.C.CHUÍ's goal looked a bit too open when Cléber da Costa came free, but Armando Cerezo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armando Cerezo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Murilo Prestes went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. S.C.CHUÍ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
